Itinerary
- Day 1 | Arrive in Nairobi
Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be met in the Arrivals Hall by a representative from Pollman’s Tours & Safaris and transferred to the Nairobi Serena Hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Renowned for its exceptional hospitality, the Nairobi Serena Hotel is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World and enjoys a prime location beside Central Park, offering a peaceful retreat surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens in the heart of the city.

- Day 2 | Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, depart Nairobi and descend into the Great Rift Valley via the historic escarpment road built by Italian prisoners of war during World War II. Continue past the Longonot satellite station and across Kenya’s fertile farmlands before arriving in the Masai Mara in time for lunch.
In the afternoon, enjoy your first safari game drive, returning to the lodge as golden light settles across the plains.
For the next two nights, stay at the Mara Serena Safari Lodge, a refined retreat set high above the savannah. Inspired by the design of a traditional Maasai village, the lodge offers sweeping views, elegant rooms and an exceptional setting from which to experience the wildlife and dramatic landscapes of the Masai Mara.

- Day 3 | Masai Mara National Reserve Balloon Safari
After an early breakfast, depart on a morning game drive across the Masai Mara, returning to the lodge mid-morning. After lunch and perhaps a relaxing siesta, set out again for an afternoon game drive, including a visit to a traditional Maasai village, before returning to the lodge at sunset.
One morning, enjoy a memorable Hippo Pool Bush Breakfast by the Mara River. Surrounded by the sights and sounds of the wilderness, a delicious buffet of fresh fruits, cereals, hot dishes and eggs cooked to order is served while hippos lounge nearby — a truly unique safari experience.
Note: This experience is not available if you have pre-booked the early morning balloon safari.
Optional Experience: Masai Mara Balloon Safari
For a truly unforgettable perspective, rise before dawn for a hot-air balloon safari over the Masai Mara. As the sun rises, drift silently above the plains, rivers and forests while spotting wildlife from the air. After the approximately one-hour flight, land in the bush and celebrate with a champagne-style breakfast served in the heart of the savannah — a magical highlight of any safari..

- Day 4 | Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru to Lake Elementaita
After breakfast, depart the Masai Mara and travel through Kenya’s fertile highlands via Narok to Lake Nakuru, enjoying a picnic lunch along the way. Enter Lake Nakuru National Park for a game drive, renowned for its birdlife and endangered species, including flamingos, black and white rhinos, and Rothschild’s giraffes.
Later, continue to your camp in the Soysambu Conservancy, arriving around sunset. Lake Elementaita Serena Camp, set on the shores of Lake Elementaita, is an intimate retreat with luxury tents, a lounge, spa and pool, all overlooking the lake and the wildlife-rich conservancy.
- Day 5 | Guided Bird Walk in Soysambu Conservancy
Begin the day with an early morning guided bird walk in the Soysambu Conservancy, home to more than 450 bird species. After breakfast, depart the Rift Valley and travel to Nairobi for lunch before continuing south to Amboseli, arriving at your lodge in the late afternoon.
Set beneath the towering peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge is surrounded by acacia woodland and lush gardens. Inspired by the design of a traditional Maasai manyatta, the lodge offers vibrant rooms and a peaceful terrace where wildlife such as elephants, antelope and wildebeest are often seen nearby
- Day 6 | Amboseli National Park
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in Amboseli National Park, known for its wide-open plains, wetlands and iconic views of Mount Kilimanjaro. In the cool early hours, search for the park’s famous elephant herds, as well as lion, cheetah, buffalo, giraffe and abundant birdlife.
Return to the lodge to relax during the heat of the day before heading out again in the late afternoon, when golden light transforms the landscape and wildlife gathers across the plains.
You will also have the opportunity to plant a tree for Africa, a meaningful way to contribute to conservation and invest in the future of our planet.

- Day 7 | Amboseli to Arusha and Tanrangire National Park
After breakfast, enjoy your final views of Mount Kilimanjaro as you depart Amboseli and travel to the Namanga border. Continue to Arusha for lunch before heading to Tarangire National Park, where game viewing begins upon entry.
Known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, Tarangire is rich in wildlife including lion, leopard, giraffe, zebra and more than 500 bird species.

- Day 8 | Game Drive at Tarangire National Park
Enjoy a morning game drive in Tarangire before lunch at the lodge, then depart for Lake Manyara National Park. Arrive at your lodge, perched high on the Rift Valley escarpment, in time for dinner.
Centred around its shallow alkaline lake, Lake Manyara National Park is known for its diverse habitats, abundant wildlife and more than 400 bird species, including flamingos and pelicans. The park is also famous for its tree-climbing lions.

- Day 9 | Game Drive at Lake Manyara
Enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Manyara before lunch at the lodge. This afternoon, travel to the Serengeti with game viewing en route from Naabi Gate.
Famed for its vast plains and incredible wildlife, the Serengeti is one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations.

- Day 10 | Serengeti National Park Balloon Safari
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives through the legendary Serengeti National Park, where vast golden plains and extraordinary wildlife encounters await. Watch for predators on the hunt and great herds of wildebeest and zebra roaming the savannah, returning to the lodge as the landscape glows in the warm evening light.
Optional Activity: Serengeti Balloon Safari
Rise before dawn for a hot-air balloon safari over the Serengeti. Drift silently above the plains as the sun rises, before landing for a memorable bush breakfast in the heart of the wilderness.
- Day 11 | Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
Depart the Serengeti after breakfast and travel to Ngorongoro, enjoying game viewing across the plains and a picnic lunch along the way. Arrive on the crater rim in time for dinner.
Home to around 30,000 animals, the Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most unique wildlife destinations. Perched high above the crater, your lodge offers beautiful views and a peaceful setting surrounded by dramatic landscapes.

- Day 12 | Explore Ngorongoro Crater

- Day 13 | Depart to Nairobi
Early risers may enjoy a beautiful sunrise over the Ngorongoro Crater before breakfast at the lodge.
Afterwards, depart the crater highlands and travel back to Arusha, passing through scenic countryside and rural villages. After lunch in Arusha, continue to Nairobi for your transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for onward travel.
