15-Day Scandinavia & Baltic Capitals Itinerary Overview

Itinerary - Santiago (Valparaiso), Chile - New York City, New York

DAY 1
Santiago (Valparaíso), Chile

Step aboard and unwind in the comfort of your stateroom as your voyage begins. Santiago offers a sophisticated blend of history and modernity, reflected in its elegant architecture. Along the coast, Valparaíso enchants with its hillside setting, colourful facades and historic ascensores, where sweeping ocean views and timeless character create a truly captivating first impression.

DAY 2 -3
Pacific Ocean Crossing

Sail the Mar Pacífico, the “peaceful sea” named by Ferdinand Magellan nearly 500 years ago. As you cross these storied waters, unwind in the elegant Explorers’ Lounge, where floor-to-ceiling windows frame uninterrupted ocean vistas. Enjoy a handcrafted cocktail, share the journey with fellow travellers, or relax quietly with a book as the Pacific unfolds around you.

DAY 4
Iquique, Chile

Nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the Atacama Desert’s Pampa del Tamarugal plateau, Iquique is a city shaped by history and trade. Once part of Peru and later ceded to Chile in 1883, it flourished during the saltpeter boom. Today, its heritage shines around Arturo Prat Square, where grand civic buildings, ornate landmarks and Georgian-style homes recall its prosperous past.

DAY 5-6
Pacific Ocean Crossing
Cross the vast Pacific Ocean, the world’s largest at nearly 64 million square miles and twice the size of the Atlantic. Onboard, The Living Room offers a refined sanctuary where classical music, warm conversation and carefully crafted drinks create the perfect setting for relaxation at sea.

DAY 7
Lima (Callao), Peru

Founded in 1535 by Francisco Pizarro as La Ciudad de los Reyes, the “City of Kings,” Lima quickly rose to prominence as the capital of Spain’s Viceroyalty of Peru and home to the oldest university in the Americas. Today, this sophisticated city reveals a rich architectural legacy spanning colonial, Spanish Baroque, Neoclassical and Art Nouveau styles. Its UNESCO-listed historic centre is especially notable for its elegant viceroyal-era balconies and timeless grandeur.

DAY 8-10
Pacific Ocean Crossing
Journey across the Pacific Ocean, covering more than 30 percent of the Earth’s surface and connecting four continents. Onboard, enjoy an array of dining options from the World Café to the Aquavit Terrace and The Restaurant.

DAY 11
Panama City (Fuerte Amador), Panama

Panama City blends gleaming skyscrapers with colonial charm on the Pacific coast. A vibrant financial hub and cultural centre, it reflects both modern growth and historic legacy. Its Old Town, Casco Viejo, is home to churches, plazas and palaces, while the nearby Panama Canal, an engineering marvel, connects the Pacific to the Caribbean over 48 miles.

DAY 12
Scenic Sailing: Panama Canal
The Panama Canal links the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, cutting through the narrowest point of the Isthmus of Panama. A full transit of the 48-mile waterway takes approximately eight to ten hours, passing through Gatun Lake and the Culebra Cut, an artificial valley carved through the Continental Divide. This 20th-century engineering marvel uses a system of locks to raise and lower vessels 85 feet above sea level, guided by electric locomotives known as “mulas.” A journey through the canal is widely regarded as a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

DAY 13
Caribbean Sea Crossing
Sail through turquoise waters where legends of marauding pirates, swashbucklers and hidden treasures were once born. Enjoy a relaxing day at sea as you unwind and take in ever-changing vistas from your stateroom’s floor-to-ceiling windows.

DAY 14
Port Antonio, Jamaica
Port Antonio is the capital of Portland Parish and is home to some of Jamaica’s most stunning beauty spots. Visitors can enjoy nature in the island’s lush rainforests, or soak up the vistas from the shores of one of Jamaica’s pristine beaches; Frenchman’s Cove Beach and San San Beach are renowned for their stunning beauty and are ideal spots to while away a tranquil afternoon. The island’s iconic Blue Lagoon offers a unique bathing experience due to its mix of hot and cold waters, fed by an underwater spring, and provides the perfect place to snorkel or swim.

DAY 15
Man of War Bay (Great Inagua), Bahamas

Man of War Bay is a secluded paradise on Great Inagua Island, where turquoise waters meet white-sand shores and rugged natural beauty. Surrounded by mangroves and wetlands, the bay supports vibrant marine life and attracts flamingos and other bird species to its pristine coastline.

Day 16
San Salvador Island, Bahamas

Part of the Bahamas archipelago, San Salvador is a secluded paradise where natural beauty meets history. Soft white beaches and crystal-clear waters surround an island rich in marine life, from vibrant coral reefs to mysterious blue holes that draw divers from around the world. Beyond the shore, untouched cays and lush coastal landscapes offer quiet serenity, while history marks this as the reputed landing place of Christopher Columbus in the Americas in 1492.

Day 17-19
Atlantic Ocean Crossing
Cross the Atlantic Ocean, divided by the Mid-Atlantic Ridge—the longest underwater mountain range on Earth, longer than the Rockies, Himalayas and Andes combined. Onboard, enjoy insightful lectures or films in The Aula, featuring an 8K panoramic screen and retractable floor-to-ceiling windows offering 270° views.
