DAY 1 – Saturday, 18th September 2027
Siem Reap

Welcome to Siem Reap, Cambodia, your gateway to the ancient wonders of Angkor. Settle into a beautifully appointed luxury hotel blending French-inspired elegance with local design and world-class service, offering the perfect base for your stay.

Enjoy a day at leisure before joining your Scenic Tour Director and fellow travellers this evening for a welcome briefing and dinner, marking the start of an unforgettable journey.

DAY 2 – Sunday, 19th September 2027
Siem Reap

Start your day in Siem Reap with a champagne buffet breakfast at your hotel before choosing how to explore with Scenic Freechoice.

Discover the exquisite Banteay Srei Temple and the powerful Landmine Museum, or take a hands-on workshop at Senteurs d’Angkor. You may prefer a village walk through Ta Brak, a boat journey on Tonle Sap (seasonal), or a behind-the-scenes visit to the Angkor Wildlife Aquarium. For a breathtaking perspective, take a tethered balloon flight over Siem Reap and Angkor Wat, followed by a visit to a Lotus Flower workshop.

This afternoon, explore the awe-inspiring Angkor Wat, the world’s largest religious monument, at the perfect time of day for unforgettable views and photography.

Begin your day with an unforgettable Scenic Enrich experience as you witness sunrise over the iconic Angkor Wat, followed by a champagne breakfast served at a special temple-side location, featuring cuisine prepared in partnership with a local NGO-supported bakery school.

Continue your journey through the atmospheric Ta Prohm Temple, famously enveloped in ancient jungle roots, before exploring the grand Angkor Thom complex and the striking Bayon Temple with its enigmatic stone faces. The afternoon is yours to relax at your luxury hotel or explore Siem Reap’s vibrant markets at leisure.

This evening, enjoy a truly exclusive Scenic Enrich event, a private gala dinner at Prasat Kravan. Dine among candlelit 10th-century temple ruins with free-flowing drinks and a captivating Apsara dance performance, creating a magical finale to an extraordinary day.

DAY 4 – Tuesday, 21st  September 2027
Siem Reap > 7 Night Mekong Cruise

Discover Cambodia’s rural heart as you journey by coach to Kampong Cham, where the elegant Scenic Spirit awaits. En route, visit the beautiful Khmer bridge at Kampong Kdei, the historic town of Kampong Thom, and a traditional stone-cutting village for a glimpse into local craftsmanship and daily life.

Once onboard, your river cruise begins in style with a welcome cocktail reception hosted by your Cruise Director. Take time to explore the ship’s refined facilities before settling in for your first evening on board. After dinner, retreat to your private suite, where your personal butler is on hand to ensure every detail is taken care of from a nightcap to your preferred pillow for a perfect night’s rest.

DAY 5 – Wednesday, 22nd  September 2027
Wat Hanchey > Kampong Cham

Wake as you arrive at Wat Hanchey, an ancient hilltop pagoda and monastery. Meet a local guide to learn about life as a novice monk before exploring the temple complex and taking in sweeping views over the Mekong River and surrounding countryside. Afterwards, sail back to Kampong Cham.

Scenic Freechoice
This afternoon, explore Kampong Cham and its surrounds at your own pace. Discover Phnom Pros and its hilltop pagoda, rich in legend and history, or visit Wat Nokor Bachey, where an ancient Angkorian temple sits within a modern pagoda.

Alternatively, explore the region’s colonial and agricultural heritage with a drive through French-era shop houses, the Central Market, a local rubber plantation, and a traditional betel nut village. Or venture to remote Kho Penh Village on Bamboo Island for a glimpse into Cambodia’s rural riverside life, reached via local remork and bamboo bridge or ferry.

Later, unwind onboard the Scenic Spirit and enjoy dinner in your suite or on your private balcony as you sail towards Angkor Ban, taking in a tranquil Mekong sunset.

DAY 6 – Thursday, 23rd September 2027
Angkor Ban > Silk Island > Phnom Penh

Arrive in Angkor Ban and step back in time as you explore its beautifully preserved wooden houses, many of which survived the Khmer Rouge era. Visit a local pagoda for a quiet, reflective experience within this deeply spiritual setting.

Scenic Enrich
Take part in a traditional blessing from a Buddhist monk and learn about local prayer customs before joining an alms-giving ceremony that supports the daily life of resident monks.

Return onboard for lunch as you sail to Oknha Tey, an island renowned for its silk weaving traditions. Travel by tuk tuk to a local silk farm to learn about the intricate production process, with the opportunity to participate in a hands-on cultural experience if you wish.

Spend the afternoon at leisure onboard—relax in the Wellness Centre or enjoy a treatment in the Beauty Salon. As evening falls, enjoy Scenic Sunset Drinks on the sundeck while cruising toward Phnom Penh, taking in the glowing riverside scenery.

Before dinner, be entertained by a heartfelt cultural performance from the Cambodian Student and Children’s Organisation.

DAY 7 – Friday, 24th September 2027
Phnom Penh

After breakfast, step ashore to explore Phnom Penh with a choice of enriching experiences.

Scenic Freechoice:
Visit the sobering Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum for a powerful insight into Cambodia’s history and resilience, or join a hands-on cooking class beginning with a visit to a bustling local market before preparing traditional Cambodian cuisine. Alternatively, explore the city by remork, discovering Phnom Penh’s French colonial architecture and the vibrant Central Market.

Return to Scenic Spirit for lunch and enjoy a relaxed afternoon at leisure onboard.

Scenic Sunset Drinks:
This evening, experience Phnom Penh by night on a city lights tour, finishing with an exclusive visit to a local rum distillery. Enjoy a guided tour, tasting, and signature cocktails as you take in the atmosphere of the capital at sunset.

DAY 8 – Saturday, 25th September 2027
Phnom Penh > Border Crossing > Tan Chau

This morning, visit Phnom Penh’s magnificent Royal Palace and the iconic Silver Pagoda on an included tour of one of the city’s most treasured landmarks. Set along the riverside, this dazzling complex—built in the 1860s—remains the official residence of the King of Cambodia and showcases exquisite traditional architecture and craftsmanship.

Return to Scenic Spirit and begin your journey towards the Cambodian–Vietnamese border. Enjoy a relaxed afternoon of sailing as you make the most of the ship’s world-class facilities. Unwind in the library, enjoy a drink in the Scenic Spirit Lounge, or take in the river views from your private suite and balcony. For a refreshing break, relax by the pool and soak up the atmosphere of life on the Mekong.

After completing immigration formalities into Vietnam, the evening comes alive with a themed onboard dinner, complemented by a vibrant lion dance performance on the Sundeck—a celebratory welcome to Vietnam.

DAY 9 – Sunday, 26th September 2027
Tan Chau

Start your day with a visit to the onboard gym, an early morning yoga session, or a relaxing moment in the sauna before setting out to explore the surroundings of Tan Chau.

Scenic Freechoice:
Choose to venture into the tranquil Tra Su Bird Sanctuary, where you’ll glide by sampan through lush mangroves and peaceful waterways teeming with birdlife in this rich ecological reserve.

Alternatively, experience life on Evergreen Island, joining local farmers for a glimpse into traditional rural living. Back in Tan Chau, ride a xe loi (three-wheeled bicycle rickshaw) and visit the colourful Cao Dai Temple, where you’ll discover the unique blend of beliefs that shape this fascinating Vietnamese religion.

For a third option, take a speedboat to Chau Doc to visit Tay An Temple at the base of Sam Mountain, followed by a sampan journey along the Vinh Te Canal, observing daily life along the Mekong Delta waterways.

End your first day in Vietnam with a refreshing cocktail by the pool as you sail onward to Sa Dec, enjoying the peaceful scenery of the Mekong River.

DAY 10 – Monday, 27th September 2027
Sa Dec > Cai Be

Arrive in Sa Dec and step aboard a traditional sampan to explore the bustling wet market, where locals trade everything from fresh produce to live fish, frogs, and even snakes—offering a fascinating glimpse into everyday life on the Mekong. Continue to the elegant former home of Mr. Huynh Thuy Le, the Chinese merchant whose story inspired Marguerite Duras’ L’Amant, as your guide reveals the romance and history behind this iconic tale. Return to Scenic Spirit for lunch as you sail downstream to Cai Be.

Scenic Freechoice:
This afternoon, choose how you wish to explore the region. Travel by sampan to Tan Phong Island, where fruit orchards, canals, and local craft workshops offer an immersive eco-tourism experience. Take part in a water hyacinth weaving workshop, ride through lush orchards by motorised buggy, and sample tropical fruits straight from the farm before visiting a local cottage industry producing rice paper and traditional sweets.

Alternatively, cruise by sampan to Le Longanier, a charming French colonial-style house restaurant, where you’ll enjoy a relaxed afternoon tea with local fruit, snacks, and live traditional music.

Or remain onboard and join a hands-on cocktail and mocktail making class with the ship’s expert bar team, featuring fresh local ingredients.

DAY 11 – Tuesday, 28th September 2027
Mekong Cruise > Ho Chi Minh City

Bid farewell to Scenic Spirit as you wave goodbye to the crew and begin your 90-minute drive to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival, visit the War Museum for a powerful insight into Vietnam’s history before continuing with an orientation tour of your historic hotel, ideally located in the heart of District 1 opposite the Opera House, where you’ll enjoy a two-night stay.

DAY 12 – Wednesday, 29th September 2027
Ho Chi Minh City

After breakfast, travel to the Cu Chi Tunnels and discover the incredible underground network used by Viet Cong soldiers during the Vietnam War. Learn how this hidden system supported months of survival, resistance, and communication in wartime conditions before returning to the city.

Enjoy a traditional pho lunch back in Ho Chi Minh City, with the afternoon at leisure to relax or explore at your own pace.

Later, visit the Reunification Palace, the former Presidential Residence of South Vietnam, famously associated with the 1975 fall of Saigon when tanks entered its gates, marking the end of the war. Conclude the day with a memorable farewell dinner shared with your fellow travellers.

DAY 13 – Thursday, 30th September 2027
Ho Chi Minh City

After check-out, transfer to the airport for your onward journey as you depart Vietnam for home or continued travels, taking with you unforgettable memories and a camera full of highlights.
