Every month and season offers something distinct — different activities, events, weather, and tourist levels. We’ve broken down the seasons one by one to help you determine the best time for YOU to experience France!

Spring: March to May

Location: Normandy

Why Visit: ANZAC Day and Blooming Gardens

Spring in France is a time of renewal and remembrance. Normandy, with its rich history and picturesque landscapes, offers a unique combination of both.

Activities:

  • ANZAC Day: Attend ceremonies at the Australian War Memorial in Villers-Bretonneux on April 25th to honour the ANZAC soldiers. The poppies will be in full bloom in the fields, creating a poignant backdrop.
  • Giverny Gardens: Explore the beautiful gardens that inspired Monet, where spring blooms are at their peak.
  • Norman Villages: Wander through charming villages like Honfleur and Bayeux, enjoying the mild weather and fewer tourists.
