Itinerary
- Day 1 | Arrive in Nairobi
Arrive into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where you will be met and welcomed by your local representative before transferring to your hotel.
Kenya’s vibrant capital, Nairobi, is a fascinating blend of modern city energy and rich colonial history. Set at the edge of vast wildlife plains, it is the perfect gateway to an East African safari.
The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Renowned for its exceptional hospitality, the Nairobi Serena Hotel is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World and enjoys a prime location beside Central Park, offering a peaceful retreat surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens in the heart of the city.

- Day 2 | Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, depart Nairobi and begin your scenic journey toward the Masai Mara, travelling through the dramatic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley.
Pause at viewpoints overlooking the vast escarpment before continuing across Kenya’s fertile highlands. Along the way, pass the historic Italian Chapel built by Italian prisoners of war during World War II, and the Longonot Earth Satellite Station, a striking landmark visible from afar.
Continuing via the town of Narok, gateway to Maasai country, the landscape gradually changes to open savannah dotted with acacia trees — classic African safari scenery.
Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch before heading out on your first thrilling afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara. As the golden afternoon light softens across the plains, your guide will begin searching for the region’s incredible wildlife including lions, elephants, giraffes and perhaps cheetahs.
Return to the lodge at sunset.

- Day 3 | Masai Mara National Reserve
Spend a full day exploring the legendary Masai Mara, one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife reserves and part of the larger Serengeti ecosystem.
Morning and afternoon game drives provide excellent opportunities to encounter the incredible wildlife that calls the Mara home. July is one of the best times to visit, as the Great Migration often begins arriving from Tanzania’s Serengeti, bringing vast herds of wildebeest and zebra — followed closely by predators. Between game drives, relax at the lodge and enjoy sweeping views across the Mara plains.
This afternoon, visit a traditional Maasai village where you will gain insight into the customs, traditions and daily life of the Maasai people, one of East Africa’s most iconic cultures (entrance donation paid locally).

- Day 4 | Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru to Lake Elementaita
After breakfast, depart the Masai Mara and journey across Kenya’s scenic agricultural heartland back toward the Great Rift Valley.
Enjoy a picnic lunch before entering Lake Nakuru National Park, one of Kenya’s premier wildlife sanctuaries.
Famous for its birdlife and spectacular lake scenery, Lake Nakuru is also one of the best places in Kenya to see both black and white rhinoceros, along with Rothschild’s giraffe, buffalo, and a variety of antelope species. Flamingos are often seen lining the lake’s shoreline in vivid pink bands.
Enjoy a game drive through the park before continuing to your elegant, tented camp in the Soysambu Conservancy, located along the shores of beautiful Lake Elementaita, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

- Day 5 | Lake Elementaita – Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Following an early breakfast, depart the Rift Valley and travel back to Nairobi, arriving in time for lunch (or a picnic lunch depending on road conditions). After lunch, continue south toward Amboseli National Park, arriving at your lodge by late afternoon.
Amboseli is famous for its vast elephant herds and extraordinary views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. The park’s open plains, marshlands and acacia woodlands provide a dramatic setting for wildlife viewing.

- Day 6 | Amboseli National Park
Enjoy a full day exploring Amboseli National Park, one of Kenya’s most photogenic safari destinations.
Morning and afternoon game drives offer opportunities to encounter large elephant herds, lions, buffalo, giraffes and numerous bird species. The park is also known for its open landscapes, which often provide clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro rising dramatically above the plains when weather conditions allow.
Return to the lodge between game drives to relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.

- Day 7 | Amboseli – Tanzania Border – Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Following an early breakfast, depart Amboseli and travel toward the Namanga border crossing, where you will bid farewell to your Kenyan driver-guide.
After completing border formalities, meet your Tanzanian guide and continue to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit.
After lunch in Arusha (drinks excluded), continue toward Tarangire National Park. Once inside the park, your safari begins immediately as you game drive enroute to your lodge.
Tarangire is renowned for its towering baobab trees, sweeping savannah landscapes and large concentrations of elephants, particularly during the dry season.

- Day 8 | Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park
Enjoy a morning game drive in Tarangire before returning to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, depart for nearby Lake Manyara National Park, a beautiful and diverse reserve located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment.
The park’s varied habitats — including groundwater forests, lakeshore plains and acacia woodland — support a wide variety of wildlife including elephants, hippos, monkeys and an extraordinary range of birdlife.
Arrive at your lodge perched high above the valley floor.

- Day 9 | Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park
Begin the day with a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, followed by lunch at the lodge.
Later, continue your journey toward the legendary Serengeti National Park.
After entering the park at Naabi Hill Gate, begin game viewing as you travel across the endless plains of the Serengeti — one of the most spectacular wildlife regions on Earth.
Arrive at your lodge in time for dinner.

- Day 10 | Serengeti National Park
Spend a full day exploring the extraordinary landscapes and wildlife of the Serengeti.
Morning and afternoon game drives offer exceptional opportunities to witness predators such as lions, leopards and cheetahs, as well as vast herds of grazing animals that roam the plains.
July is a remarkable time to visit as the Great Migration may be moving through parts of the northern Serengeti and Masai Mara ecosystem.

- Day 11 | Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, depart the Serengeti and enjoy game viewing as you travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
A picnic lunch will be served along the way.
Arrive at your lodge dramatically positioned on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, offering breathtaking views across the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera.
Enjoy the remainder of the afternoon at leisure.

- Day 12 | Explore Ngorongoro Crater Safari
Early this morning descend nearly 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife sanctuaries.
The crater floor supports an incredible concentration of wildlife — including elephants, lions, buffalo, rhino, zebra, wildebeest and many other species — making it one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five in a single day.
Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before continuing your exploration.
Later in the afternoon, ascend back to the crater rim and return to your lodge.

- Day 13 | Ngorongoro – Arusha – Nairobi
Early risers may enjoy spectacular sunrise views across the crater.
After breakfast, depart the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and travel to Arusha, arriving for lunch (drinks excluded). Following lunch, continue to Nairobi, arriving in the evening. Transfer to your hotel located near the airport.
- Day 14 | Depart to Nairobi
This morning you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
