Itinerary
DAY 1 – Friday, 26th June
Departure from Townsville
Your journey begins with a seamless morning departure from Townsville aboard Alliance Airlines, setting the tone for a relaxed and well-organised escape to the Red Centre. After a comfortable flight, complete with lunch served on board, you’ll arrive into Ayers Rock Airport, where you’ll be met and transferred by private coach to your accommodation.
Settle into the elegant Desert Gardens Hotel, your home for the next two nights, where check-in will be at 3pm. If your room isn’t quite ready, your luggage can be securely stored, giving you the freedom to start exploring straight away.
With your National Park Pass provided at check-in and everything taken care of, the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure—whether that’s unwinding at the resort or beginning your discovery of the iconic landscapes of Uluru.

Friday evening Field of Lights – Star Pass
Covered under a sky brilliant with stars, Field of Light beckons you to explore and lose yourself momentarily in the rhythms of coloured light.
Cost per person: Adult $137 pp / Child (5-15 yrs) $87

- Panoramic view of Field of Light from dune top area
- 45 Minute self-guided walk-through Field of Light
- Sparkling wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages

DAY 2 – Saturday, 27th June
Uluru
Uluru Sunrise and base tour including Kata Tjuta approximate tour duration is 7 hours. Departure is at 0545 so please be outside the hotel no later than 0525. Your On the Go breakfast box will be provided at our Sunrise stop. Our tour showcases ancient Aboriginal rock art, desert flora and wildlife and the Indigenous history of this sacred site.Â
We will witness sunrise over Uluru, followed by a vehicle base tour, Mutitjulu Waterhole walk, cultural centre/bathroom stop, then on to Kata Tjuta dune viewing area, Walpa Gorge walk and return to our hotel.  Â
Layered clothing is recommended to allow for layers to be removed as the day warms up. A hat and sunscreen are necessary and good walking shoes if you wish to walk into Kata Tjuta Walpa Gorge as the ground is uneven. Walking around the base of Uluru is an easy flat walk. Â
Tea and coffee and biscuits are provided at our sunrise stop. Water and snacks are included in the On the Go boxes.  Â
Return to the hotel is by 1300 at the latest.  The remainder of the day is free to explore.Â

DAY 3 – Sunday, 28th June
Journey Concludes
Enjoy a relaxed start to your final day with breakfast included at Desert Gardens Mageta Bistro before checking out of your room. If you have morning touring planned, your luggage can be conveniently stored at reception, allowing you to make the most of your last moments in the Red Centre.
The remainder of the day is yours at leisure before regrouping for your transfer to the airport. Your return journey continues with an afternoon departure from Ayers Rock Airport aboard Alliance Airlines, arriving back into Townsville early evening. Sit back and unwind onboard, with a light snack and refreshment served as you reflect on an unforgettable Uluru escape.
